Central wants to reduce the financial burden on electricity distribution companies in 16 states. A bond of Rs 2.32 lakh crore has been launched to ease this financial burden. The main goal was to collect 2.69 lakh crore after recovery.  With the help of this bond, central is trying to reduce all the technology and commercial losses in 25 states from 21.09% to 15%.
